A Cloud Knight trainee born in the humble corners of Aurum Alley, Hana once walked the path of healing, only to realize that a mended heart still carries the memory of the blade. Dedicated to becoming a shield that never falters, she traded her staff for a heavy, sheathed katana — a silent reminder of a childhood vow. Standing as a steadfast guardian for those she holds dear, she no longer seeks to heal the wound; she seeks to ensure the wound is never born.

Story

The Healer’s Paradox

In the Commission of Medicine, they called her the “Star-Stitcher.” To a young Hana, there was a mathematical elegance to Abundance. A wound was merely a variable out of place, and her Quantum-triage was the solution that balanced the equation. She lived in a world of “after-the-fact,” confident that as long as her hands were fast enough, no tragedy was permanent.

But the equations began to fail in her heart before they ever failed in her hands. She spent her days mending the same soldiers, over and over. She saw the light return to their eyes, but she also saw the way they flinched at sudden noises, or how their hands trembled when they reached for a tea cup.

“I fixed the bone. I closed the skin. So why does he still look like he’s breaking?”

It was her first realization of the Healer’s Paradox: you can undo the injury, but you can never un-see the pain. The memory of the blade remained long after the blood was washed away.

The Shattered Staff

The turning point came during a brutal incursion in the Artisanship Commission. A swarm of Borisin had pinned down a scout unit, and among them was a girl with a giant sword who refused to stop swinging, even as her armor was stripped away by claws. Hana was there, her staff working overtime — a blur of violet light re-stitching every gash as soon as it appeared.

It was a perfect display of Abundance, and it was a nightmare. Hana watched through tears as Sushang was struck, healed, and struck again in a gruesome cycle of endurance. Every time Hana mended her, she saw the momentary agony on her friend’s face before the Quantum-mend could kick in.

In a fit of sudden, uncharacteristic rage, Hana stopped healing. As a jagged war-blade swung toward Sushang’s neck, Hana didn’t reach for her medical charms. She lunged forward, thrusting her ornate wooden staff into the path of the blow. The staff — a masterpiece of healing technology — shattered into a thousand splinters. But for the first time that day, Sushang wasn’t hurt. The impact stopped at the wood. Hana stood in the wreckage of her old life, breathing hard, realizing that a broken tool was a small price to pay for a friend who didn’t have to bleed.

A Container for a Vow

Hana did not return to the Commission of Medicine. Instead, she took the heavy jade-steel shards of her shattered staff and brought them to a master smith in the Artisanship Commission. She didn’t ask for a new staff, nor did she ask for a weapon to kill. She asked for a container for a vow.

The result was the heavy, violet-hued katana she carries today. During her transition to the Cloud Knights, her instructors were baffled. She refused to draw the blade, using the heavy scabbard and the logic of her old Quantum calculations to manifest barriers instead.

“A sword that cuts is just another reason for someone to need a healer. I have seen enough of that world.”

She had mastered a new form of Pathstriding: Absolute Preservation. She learned to project her Quantum energy not to mend cells, but to harden the very air into a “Ginkgo Grove” — a sanctuary where the concept of a wound was fundamentally rejected by reality itself. During her reassessment, the General had no rebuttal.

The Ginkgo Guard

Nowadays, the Star-Stitcher is a ghost of the past. The Cloud Knights know her only as the “Ginkgo Guard” — the silent shadow who stands half a step behind the most reckless pilot in the Luofu. Her katana remains sheathed, a heavy weight at her hip that serves as a deterrent to fate itself.

She no longer smiles with the detached serenity of a physician. Her gaze is sharp, calculating the trajectory of every threat before it even manifests. Some say she is selfish for refusing to use her healing gifts to save the masses, but Hana knows the truth. She has chosen to be the wall so that others don’t have to be the patient.

When the sun sets over Aurum Alley and the golden leaves fall, Hana watches Sushang laugh, unburdened and unscarred. To the world, Hana is a knight who refuses to strike. To Hana, she is a success. Because as long as her shield holds, her friend will never have to know the phantom heat of a blade, and the spring she promised so long ago will truly never end.

“The sun is setting over the Alley. It’s a peaceful sight, isn’t it? I intend to keep it exactly like this. No disruptions, no pain. Just the golden hour, forever.”

“The Master Diviner told me that ‘The future is a wound that hasn’t happened yet.’ I told her that as long as I am standing, that wound will never be born. She didn’t argue. I think, for once, our calculations matched.”

About March 7th

Added to Team With Guinaifen

“The stage is yours, Guinaifen. I’ll ensure the audience stays safe, and you… well, try to keep the fire away from the barriers, alright?”

Added to Team With Huohuo

“Stay close, Huohuo. My ‘Ginkgo Grove’ is rooted deep. No shadow can breach this sanctuary while I’m standing.”

Added to Team With Bailu

“Lady Bailu, keep your medicine for those I cannot reach. For the rest… I’ll ensure they never need a single drop.”

Added to Team With Qingque

“If I provide the ‘Absolute Defense’ you need to finish your game, will you promise to work for at least ten minutes afterward?”

Abilities

Core Abilities

Training: Sheathed Strike

Deals Quantum DMG equal to a percentage of Hana’s DEF to a single enemy. She strikes with the scabbard of her blade, keeping the edge sharp and ready for the moment it is truly needed.

Ginkgo’s Guard

Applies a Shield to a single ally that absorbs DMG equal to a percentage of Hana’s DEF plus a flat amount for 3 turns; Hana simultaneously gains 15% Damage Reduction and 1 stack of [On Alert] (max 5 stacks). A precise barrier of crystalline light forms around her comrade while Hana centers her breathing, anticipating the enemy’s next move.

Wall of the Eternal Grove

Applies a Shield to all allies absorbing DMG equal to a percentage of Hana’s DEF plus a flat amount for 3 turns; all allies gain 10% Damage Reduction, and Hana immediately gains 1 stack of [On Alert] for every ally shielded. She plants her feet and projects her willpower across the battlefield — the air itself hardening into a protective canopy of jade and violet light.

Blade Out of Shadow

When a shielded ally is attacked and Hana has at least 1 stack of [On Alert], she consumes 1 stack to trigger a Follow-up Attack: she unsheathes her katana to parry the strike, reducing the ally’s DMG taken by 30% and dealing Quantum DMG equal to a percentage of her DEF to the attacker. This Follow-up ignores the enemy’s Weakness Type when reducing Toughness, and if it triggers a Weakness Break, it unleashes a Quantum Entanglement effect.

Pre-emptive Stance

Immediately upon use, the party enters the [Ginkgo’s Shadow] state for 20 seconds. Entering battle while this state is active triggers the full effects of Hana’s Ultimate — a party-wide Shield and Damage Reduction for 2 turns — before the first blow is even struck.

Traces

Sharp Reflection

When Hana triggers a Follow-up Attack via her Talent, the struck enemy takes 15% increased Break Damage for 2 turns — each parry leaving the target more exposed to the breaks that follow.

Shared Discipline

While Hana is on the field, all allies’ Break Effect increases by an amount equal to 20% of her DEF, up to a maximum bonus of 40%, her defensive mastery translating directly into the team’s offensive leverage.

Unbroken Rhythm

When an enemy is Weakness Broken, or when an ally attacks a Weakness Broken enemy, Hana immediately recovers 1 stack of [On Alert] and 5 Energy. This effect can trigger only once per enemy per Weakness Broken state.

Light Cone

A Promise Beneath the Golden Canopy

Rarity: ★★★★★ — Path: Preservation

Increases the wearer’s DEF by a set percentage. When the wearer triggers a Follow-up Attack, all allies’ Break Effect increases by a set percentage for 2 turns. Additionally, if the Follow-up Attack hits a Weakness Broken enemy, the wearer regenerates a set amount of Energy.

“Don’t go too far ahead, Sushang!”

The girl with the pigtails called out, her grip tightening on her sheathed blade. The Aurum Alley sun was setting, turning the ginkgo leaves into shards of gold. Her friend laughed, waving a wooden sword in the air.

“I’m going to be the greatest Cloud Knight ever! Just you watch!”

Hana sighed, a small smile tugging at her lips. She remembered the nights spent stitching wounds and the phantom heat of pains she couldn’t prevent. Someone had to make sure that the greatest knight didn’t trip over her own feet. She made a silent vow: as long as she stood, the wind would never ruffle her friend’s hair.

Eidolons

E1 — Skyward Gaze, Luofu’s Vow

Increases the maximum stacks of [On Alert] to 8. For every stack of [On Alert] Hana holds, her DEF increases by 6%, up to a maximum bonus of 48%.

E2 — Reflections of a Pure Heart

When Hana triggers a Follow-up Attack, she recovers 1 Skill Point. This effect can trigger once per turn. Additionally, the Follow-up Attack deals 20% more Toughness DMG.

E3 — Petals on the Blade’s Edge

Ultimate Lv. +2 (max Lv. 15). Talent Lv. +2 (max Lv. 15).

E4 — Unsheathed Steel, Sudden Strike

The Follow-up Attack from Hana’s Talent deals an additional 40% of her DEF as Quantum DMG and ignores 20% of the target’s DEF — the one moment the blade leaves its sheath cutting twice as deep.

E5 — Ginkgo’s Eternal Shade

Skill Lv. +2 (max Lv. 15). Basic ATK Lv. +1 (max Lv. 10).

E6 — Golden Dream, Silent Promise

While Hana holds at least 1 stack of [On Alert], her Break Effect increases by 60%. Additionally, when an ally attacks a Weakness Broken enemy, Hana immediately consumes 1 stack of [On Alert] to trigger her Talent’s Follow-up Attack against that target, dealing Super Break DMG equal to 100% of its original Toughness-Reducing DMG. This effect can trigger up to 2 times per turn.
